Rather than patch up a one-off tool, I decided to build a proper platform. One that worked not just for a single company, but for any business that needed to simplify their workflow without overcomplicating it. HiveSuite was born from that idea.



From Rough Beginnings to Enterprise-Grade Platform
The first version - NXPortal - was barebones. Just quotes and invoices with a terrible dashboard that didn't even work on mobile. It was clunky, limited, and honestly a bit embarrassing to look back on. But it got the job done for that one business.
The second iteration - HiveSuite 1.0 - brought basic job tracking, simple invoicing, and quotations. The dashboard was still pretty rough, but at least it was functional. This was the version that started to prove the concept could work for multiple businesses.
Then came the rebuild. I went back to basics and asked myself what I'd actually want if I was running a contractor business day-to-day. "This is too slow." "This needs to work on mobile." "Scheduling is a mess." So I redesigned it from the ground up. Nothing from the legacy code was spared - everything was changed, improved, or completely rewritten. Each problem I tackled shaped what would become HiveSuite 2.0 - as polished and feature-complete as you can get.

Google OAuth: From Sign-Up Hell to One Click
The original sign-up form was horrible. We're talking every bit of information you could imagine - business registration numbers, multiple addresses, phone numbers, the lot. It was a nightmare that took 10+ minutes and drove people away before they even started.
