Why kitchen fitters use HiveSuite

A kitchen job runs for days or weeks, involves several suppliers and is paid in stages. HiveSuite keeps the quote, the install schedule, the orders, the photos and every invoice on one job, so nothing is lost between the survey and the handover.

Quotes customers can choose from

Build a detailed multi-line quote on site, or let HiveAssist draft line items from a short description of the work. Interactive quotes can show options and optional extras, such as a worktop upgrade or under-cabinet lighting, so the customer picks and accepts online. Line items can carry a cost price, so you see the margin before you send. Item Kits add a group of stock items, such as a standard fitting kit, in one go.

Deposits and stage payments

With card payments set up through Stripe, customers can pay the deposit as soon as they accept the quote. Raise further invoices against the same job as stages are completed, and the balance on handover. Each invoice can carry a card payment link, and the invoice reminder board shows what is still owed.

Planning the install

HivePlanner shows multi-day jobs as bars across the calendar with their real start and end times. Assign fitters, see who is free in Crew View, and get a warning before anyone is double-booked. Jobs waiting for a fitting date sit in the Unscheduled tray, alongside accepted quotes not yet booked.

Orders, stock and job costs

Raise purchase orders to suppliers and receive the stock in when it arrives. Fitters record what they take for a job and put back what they did not use. Materials, expenses, crew time and (with HiveFleet switched on) vehicle costs feed each job's profit, so you know what every kitchen really made.

Keeping the customer informed

The Site Log records each day of the install with notes, photos, videos and before-and-after pairs. Choose which days the customer can see in the Customer Portal, where they can also view their quote and invoices and message you. Warranties and appliance manuals can be uploaded to the document library and shared with the customer.

Snagging and handover

HiveSuite does not include a ready-made kitchen handover checklist, but you can build one in Certificate Studio by copying the standard Job completion certificate and adding your own items. Fitters mark each item Done or N/A with notes and photos, the customer signs, and the PDF is emailed to them.

RAMS and site paperwork

Main contractors, landlords and commercial clients often ask for RAMS before a kitchen fit starts. Generate RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) from the job using HiveSuite's templates, pre-filled with the customer and site, or build your own in Certificate Studio. Upload documents you reuse, such as standard method statements, to the document library once and attach them to any job: they show in HiveCrew for your team and can be shared with the customer through the Customer Portal. Your team on site

Fitters use HiveCrew on their phone to see their own jobs, site notes and photos, tap On my way and Arrived, log time, record materials and add photos and notes as they work. They see only what you allow. The native Android app works offline and syncs each change when it reconnects. On iPhone, HiveSuite runs as an installable web app that needs a connection while the native iOS app awaits App Store approval.
